Letter from PCS Leadership

We are very happy that you have decided to visit with us. Through our website, we hope to keep our friends and partners updated on PCS activities, as well as to tell the PCS story as effectively as we can.

At PCS we believe that Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development are about people. We all share the common goal of sustainability on our planet and working with our communities, supporters and partners, we believe that we can and will achieve our conservation goals. In Palau we feel particularly blessed, and thus we also feel the enormous responsibility of stewardship. Conservation is a traditional ethic in Palau for which we have a special word in our language: “omengereomel,” which means “to conserve so as to have enough for the future.”

While we are a small organization from a small country, we are a family and nation with great hope and vision. We recognize how special our little corner of the planet really is and we are committed to ensuring that future generations as well as our guests are able to experience the beauty and bounty of Palau. We hope that you can experience some of the beauty and special qualities of our communities and natural environment as you visit this site.

We look forward to getting to know you and hope that you find PCS to be an organization worthy of your support. We believe that the most meaningful support can most often be felt not only through the pocketbook, but through kind words and responsible deeds. We truly appreciate your time and interest and we’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to write to us at pcs@palaunet.com.

We hope you enjoy your virtual visit with us.
